- If you are planning an actual ceremony rather than a proposal, Badlands requires a Special Use Permit and states "All permits must be submitted 45 days in advance" with a $100 non-refundable application fee (https://www.nps.gov/badl/planyourvisit/permits.htm). A three-person proposal does not trigger that.
