- Promontory Point is NOT one of the twelve locations the Park District lets you self-reserve online for a non-commercial photography permit, so it goes through the general queue: "For All Other Filming & Photography Complete Step 1 & Step 2: Click on the following button to pay a non-refundable $45 Permit Application Fee now, and secure your spot in the queue." (https://www.chicagoparkdistrict.com/filming-photography-permits). Park hours are posted on the park page as 6:00 am-11:00 pm daily.
