- This is not a park and not a national monument — it is a sovereign nation with its own permit regime, and it is the one place on this list where a specific date is often simply unavailable. "The Havasupai Tribe (the 'Tribe') is a federally recognized Indian tribe with sovereign immunity." "ALL visits to Havasupai require a booking made PRIOR to arrival." There is no day hike and no one-night option: "All Bookings are 4 Days / 3 Nights." You cannot buy someone else's date: "Reselling or transferring of bookings, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited", and "PATLs cannot be named or changed after a booking is made."
