- Kuwohi Road is seasonal — the park's seasonal road schedule lists it as "4/1-11/29", closed the rest of the year, which rules out a winter date entirely (https://www.nps.gov/grsm/planyourvisit/seasonalroads.htm). Great Smoky also requires a paid parking tag; the park notes "Obtaining a filming or photography permit does not exempt you from the parking tag requirement."
