Taos, NM
Rio Grande Gorge Bridge
- Getting in
- The BLM publishes no permit rule for photography or gatherings at this site — its own page says only "Open year-round" and, on fees, "Contact the field office for more information." The bridge deck itself is state highway right-of-way rather than BLM-managed land, so the answer can differ on the span versus the rim. Call the Taos Field Office at 575-758-8851 before planning anything with a photographer or a group (https://www.blm.gov/visit/rgdnnm).

We can name this spot, but we can’t yet fill the days around it in Taos — not enough real places to build the rest of the trip without repeating. Build one somewhere we can, or keep this spot in mind for when we get there.
