Tucson, AZ
Signal Hill, Saguaro National Park (West)
- Getting in
- The approach is unpaved: the Bajada Loop Drive is "This unpaved, graded dirt road offers scenic pullouts, picnic areas, and hiking trailheads in a 6 mile (9.7 km) loop." (https://www.nps.gov/sagu/planyourvisit/gettingaround.htm). The park does not publish gate hours for the loop drives on its Getting Around or Operating Hours pages — confirm the closing time for your date with the park at 520-733-5153 before planning a sunset.

We can name this spot, but we can’t yet fill the days around it in Tucson — not enough real places to build the rest of the trip without repeating. Build one somewhere we can, or keep this spot in mind for when we get there.
